Springbok Foods was established in 1951 as a supplier of fresh produce and fruit to the catering industry. It is, perhaps, the oldest company trading in fresh produce in Natal thus enjoying a vast experience and expertise in this industry. It has diversified into the processing of vegetables becoming pioneers in this field. A large number of salads and cut fruit were also added to the range as well as the processing of some sauces and pickles.
The company specializes also in the sourcing and supply of the most exotic vegetables and fruit particularly for the most elite hotels, restaurants, hospitals, airlines and casinos in the region. Universities, schools, and industrial canteens are also amongst our wide clientele. Over the years the company has built up a respected name in the industry and has enjoyed a number of outstanding service and quality awards from the corporate business.
The company, which now employs over 100 staff, is positioning itself for further expansion and full compliance with the latest food safety requirements such as HACCP quality standards, Health and Safety workplace regulations and environmental aspects to create an Environmental Management policy/system.
